Be a Pilot
Becoming a pilot
"Your career after completing aviation studies will begin as a co-pilot with a commercial airline. As you accumulate flight hours and gain more experience, you will progress to another fulfilling role as a captain, taking on the primary responsibility for flight operations, safety, and passenger well-being aboard the aircraft."
Your career will include key responsibilities, most importantly ensuring that the daily operations inside aircraft are carried out with the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
There is a common misconception that new pilots — co-pilots — are not assigned major or critical tasks during flights. However, the truth you'll discover in your professional journey as a co-pilot is that you will handle take-offs, landings, and most flight duties, using the two most important aspects of piloting — manual operation and monitoring of the aircraft systems — while receiving instructions from the control tower.
Your communication skills as a pilot play a vital role within any airline. You’ll be required to communicate effectively with fellow pilots and cabin crew, and be responsible for monitoring air traffic at all times to ensure the safety of the flight from departure to arrival.
- Inspecting the aircraft
- Obtaining a weather summary
- Entering flight information
- Verifying all navigation systems are properly set before takeoff.

As with all pilot jobs, your work environment is constantly changing because your flight times, weather conditions, and the colleagues you work with vary from flight to flight. What remains constant, however, is that as a pilot, you are responsible for all procedures before, during, and after your flight. These procedures include checking the aircraft, obtaining a weather summary, entering flight information, and ensuring all navigation systems are set up before the flight.
Therefore, Sky Roads Training Company has developed an integrated training plan that will result in pilot graduates obtaining all the skills and academic qualifications necessary for the labor market and the requirements of airline companies.
